Sir Pigglesworth Action & Adventure Chapter Books for Children ages 5-8
The Captain sure does look mean!
Look how his deckhands are shaking with fear.
Such expressiveness is David Darchicourt’s specialty.
David took my description of the captain and made him look exactly as I wanted…he’s the best!
Text from book 4 page 23 for the Aarrgggg, Mateys. Captain Phineas Nastybeard Illustration
While the piglets ate, they didn’t notice a ship appear behind the trees at the end of the lagoon.
It was Captain Phineas Nastybeard and his band of pirates.
“Aaarrggh, Mate’s,” said Nastybeard. His scowl revealed two dark rum-stained teeth in his mouth.
He had a patch over his left eye with a deep jagged scar running from his missing eye down to his chin.
He had a bushy moustache and a long scraggly black beard. On his hip was a long sharp sword with a shiny handle.
He was so fierce and mean that even his own men trembled in his presence.
